British tennis star Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and has decided to continue with trainer for 2026.

The British player advanced to round three in three of the four Grand Slams during the season.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her final two events of the year because of a health issue she has been fighting in recent days.

The 22-year-old was due to play in events in Asia but has decided to fly home to rest and recuperate ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together in 2026.

Raducanu had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match with Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and retired when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She needed once more a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the third set in the match with Zhu owing to the lower back problem that has been a concern during parts of the season.

Such performances meant an encouraging season, in which Raducanu rose into the international top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to American player Jessica Pegula in the third stage in last month's Beijing event.

The player achieved twenty-eight matches this year and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but her most impressive week was at the Miami Open in March.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of the WTA 1000 event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in three sets to the world number four Pegula.

She was coached by trainer Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.

The first plan with Rafael Nadal's former coach was through the season's conclusion but the collaboration persists, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

Raducanu told that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

She came very close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she reached the third round before being beaten by 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
