Former BBC Consultants Face MPs' Questioning After Allegations of Partiality in Unauthorized Memo

We open with queries from Conservative MP the panel's head, who oversees the group.

She initiates by offering details to the leaked memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"It is not my wish for the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning toward one side or the other, I just want it straight, unbiased and equitable," he states.

Upon being questioned whether he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, he responds: "No I don't. It is important to note, numerous aspects the BBC creates is exceptional - including informative and fictional programming."

But he adds: "There exists significant effort that needs to be done at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

The second previous consultant BBC adviser interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she views the BBC with great importance and that it operates a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" on fluid and multifaceted topics.

"Whether the BBC was willing to engage in a genuine conversation and exchange and implement changes?" she questions. "As I see it, indeed, they were."
