"We probably couldn't build and design this new game without the insights we had in the previous title," Rebecka shares with us.

One of those takeaways was to involve the community involved early, and the studio started exclusive player trials earlier this year.

A further omitted element from Battlefield 2042 was a story mode, which has been brought back this time around.

"Partnering with different perspectives, distinct backgrounds, it's a really interesting environment to be part of on a regular basis," he says.

"The complete method has been something new but also very exciting because we are collaborating with individuals from around the globe."

Concerning the pressure on the developers, he comments: "We experience stress but also it's thrilling.

"We're dealing with a big undertaking. It's arguably the largest that the majority of the team have ever been involved in."

New Artist Adds Fresh Perspective
