In the wake of the success of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, which earned over $600 million worldwide, the new movie Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has officially crossed the $100M mark worldwide, hitting a global total of $108 million this weekend. The film surpassed the horror sequel Black Phone 2 (almost $13 million) in its second week in movie houses, as well as the film Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere featuring Jeremy Allen White ($9 million).

Impressive U.S. and Global Performance

The work of Tatsuya Yoshihara, the feature is a straightforward follow-up of the debut season of the Chainsaw Man series. Anime marketing agency White Box Entertainment previously spoke, comparing the movie's expected results to Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which made thirty-four million dollars in the domestic market in 2022 and debuted with a similar $18 million stateside. This movie's debut weekend matches that standard, while its $108M worldwide total currently tracks just behind that movie's $166.6 million final run. Even if it doesn't seem possible Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will earn the earnings seen by blockbuster the enormous hit Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, this is still a major victory for Sony.

Promotional Campaigns Drive Performance

Sony and its subsidiary the anime streaming service Crunchyroll have skillfully used fan engagement to boost their leadership at the anime box office.
