From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of heroes who will separate from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table includes Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.
The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This means them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of the traitor.
Future Episodes
According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Questers and Planners parties.
Fans can expect finding out which players will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
