Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
